Request for Proposals

Senior Medicare Patrol National Resource Center National Mobile App:
The Senior Medicare Patrol National Resource Center seeks proposals from organizations to develop a national mobile app to provide resources and education that is mission based.

The intent of this mobile application is to provide a new and accessible way to empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education.

The mobile app will include a specific functionality to provide beneficiaries with helpful tips, important phone numbers, and a place to log their health care appointments for later comparison with Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs) and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs). SMPs have called this a Personal Health Care Journal. This resource has only been printed and we would like to provide an electronically secure and user-friendly option to beneficiaries to utilize.

The app will create an SMP resource that will be visible to a beneficiary easily, provide value to the beneficiary on SMP mission matters, provide a trusted source of information, and create a way to provide beneficiaries with important information on a national level.

Other functionality and elements will or could be developed by utilizing a network work group. Security will be critical to this project’s implementation.
